Like many Kiwis from the far South, Lee grew up playing in the outdoors and he is now lucky enough to make it his office as well. He is originally from the lower South Island where he grew up around the rivers and the southern lakes. While attending boarding school in Dunedin, he played Rugby with some of the greatest All Blacks and was also part of the rowing team.

Starting his career in Forestry in Southland where he worked for 3 years before returning the majestic Southern Lakes to enjoy the great outdoors, fly fishing, hiking and mountain biking. Lee then travelled throughout Australia working for an international company which took him to all areas of Australia from the top to the bottom and anywhere in between. He spent most of his time in remote areas in the Northern Territory where he learnt great survival skills for the outdoors “it’s a harsh climate out there and you need to be prepared for the unknown”. The best thing to do in the Territory is to climb Uluru (Ayres Rock) which is a great experience and of course, getting to know the locals along the way was a real eye opener.

But never one to sit still Lee moved back to New Zealand and continued to work for the same international company. Lee and his partner Emma then decided they wanted a change of lifestyle and to embrace the stunning outdoors that Queenstown has to offer. We are lucky enough to be able to raise our young family in Queenstown and come back to our roots as Emma’s father and grandmother first moved to Queenstown back in the 1960’s.

With a passion for tourism, travel and meeting people, Lee and Emma are really looking forward to showing you our absolutely spectacular backyard and what it has to offer.
